" AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEG INN I NG JUL Y 1, 1965, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1966, AND LEVYING A TAX OF $1.75 ON EACH $100.00 OF ASSESSED VALUE OF ALL REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN SAID CITY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COfVMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: Section 1. For the purpose of providing a budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1965 and ending June 30, 1966, an ad valorem tax of $1.75 on each $100.00 of assessed value of all real and personal property located within the City of La Porte is hereby levied and such tax shall be collected under and by the authority of this City and of the State of Texas, and the sums set forth below be and the same are hereby appropriated for the maintenance, operation and improvement of the Government of the City of La Porte, and the same shall be strictly applied for the several purposes and in the respective amounts hereinafter specified. Section 2. That the amounts appropriated and the purposes for which the same shall be spent be as follows: Administration $69,390.00 Corporat ion Court 2,140.00 Shop 5,683.00 Airport 3,000.00 Streets and Al leys 74,359.00 Water 74,807.00 Po lice 68,654.00 Sewer 35,034.00 .'- Fire 33,888.00 General Obligation Civil Defense 500.00 Debt Requirements 78,585.00 , . Health and Sanitation 44,000.00 .La Porte State Bank Recreat ion 10,000.00 Note 13,426.00 Swirrming Pool 5,835.00 Water and Sewer Library 1,050.00 Revenue Bond Req. 36,000.00 TOTAL $556,351.00 Section 3. That the City Corrmission may transfer a sum from one (1) item to another item within a fund, except that the Bonded Debt Service Fund shall not be subject to such alteration by the City Corrmission; and that a sum may be transferred from one (1) fund to another fund only on the authority of an ordinance passed by the City Commission.
