<br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING" 'ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEYS LYING
<br />WITHIN BLOCK TWO (2),BAY~FRONT ADDITION TO THE TOWN OF LA PORTE,
<br />HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS SHOWN BY THE MAP OR PLAT OF SAID BLOCK
<br />RECORDED IN VOLUME 85, PAGES 440 AND 441, HARRIS COUNTY DEED RECORDS;
<br />AND ADOPTING, RECOGNIZING, AND RATIFYING THE LOCATION OF THE ALLEYS
<br />IN SAID BLOCK TWO (2), BAY FRONT ADDITION TO THE TOWN OF LA PORTE,
<br />HARRIS COUNTYj TEXAS, AS. SHOWN BY THE RE-PLAT OF SAID BLOCK, RECORDED
<br />IN VOLUME 1, PAGE 27, MAP RECORDS OF HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, by a map recorded in Volume 85, Pages 440 and 441,
<br />of the Harris County, Texas', Deed Records, under date of July 9, 1895,
<br />Block Two (2), Bay Front Addition to the Town of La Porte, Harris
<br />County, Texas, was mapped and platted, and the alleys in said block
<br />were located as shown in said plat; and
<br />WHEREAS, thereafter, 'a re-plat of said Block Two (2), Bay
<br />Front Addition to the Town bf La Porte, Harris County, Texas, was
<br />adopted and recorded in VolUme 1, Page 27, of the Map Records of
<br />Harris County, Texas, reference to which is here made for all pur-
<br />poses, in which re-plat the public alleys in said block were partially
<br />
<br />relocated; and
<br />
<br />\iHEREAS, from and after the filing of said re-plat of said
<br />
<br />block, in the Map Records of Harris County, Texas, ~n Volume I, at
<br />Page 27, the City of La Porte, and the various public utilities fran-
<br />chised by the City of La Porte, have adopted, recognized, and used as
<br />public alleys, the alleys as shown in said re-plat, and have, since
<br />the date of said re-plat, vacated, abandoned, and closed the alleys
<br />in said block,' as shown by said original plat; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte, in
<br />
<br />order to correct any confusion which may exist as to the present
<br />
<br />location of the alleys whicn said City of La Porte, and the public
<br />
<br />utilities operating under franchises from it, are presently using
<br />and recognizing;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
<br />
<br />
<br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT:
<br />
<br />Section 1. The City of La por.te hereby recognizes, con-
<br />firms, and validates, the location of the public alleys in Block
<br />Two (2), Bay Front Addition to the Town of La Porte, Harris County,
<br />.JII,' Texas, as shown by the map or plat thereof recorded on May 8, 1900,
