<br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND
<br />THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE FOR AND ON BEHALF
<br />OF THE CITY 'OF LA PORTE TO EXECUTE AND TO AFF IX THE SEAL
<br />OF THE CITY TO AN AGREEMENT OF LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY,
<br />AS LESSOR, AND HOU-PORT AVIATION, INC., AS LESSEE"., FOR
<br />A PERIOD OF TWENTY YEARS, BEGINNING ON THE 1ST DAY OF
<br />JANUARY, 1966, AND ENDING ON THE 31ST DAY OF DECEMBER,
<br />1985, WITH OPTIONS FOR RENEWALa,FOR THE LEASE OF A
<br />PORTION OF THE'CITY OF LA PORTE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT,
<br />TOGETHER WITH THE RIGHT TO USE APPURTENANT FACILITIES
<br />THEREAT, ACCORDING TO THE TERMS, PROVISIONS AND
<br />CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN SAID AGREEMENT, A COpy OF WHICH
<br />IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
<br />CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.

<br />WHEREAS, HOU-PORT AVIATION, INC., a Texas corporation,
<br />desires to lease a portion of the City of La Porte Municipal Air-
<br />
<br />port; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the CITY OF LA PORTE has agreed with the said
<br />
<br />HOU-PORT AVIATION, INC., upon the terms, conditions, and agree-
<br />ments of a lease for a period of twenty (20) years, with options
<br />to lease an additional not to exceed twenty (20) acres, from the
<br />then remaining unleased portion of the City of La Porte Municipal
<br />Airport, and with certain further options for renewal thereof, as
<br />therein provided;

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
<br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk of the
<br />City of La Porte, Texas, be, and they are hereby authorized and
<br />directed to execute for and on behalf of said City an agreement
<br />of lease with Hou-Port Aviation, Inc., for a period of twenty (20)
<br />years, beginning January 1, 1966, and ending December 31, 1985,
<br />with options for renewals, for the lease of a portion of the City
<br />of La P~rte Munici~al Airport, according to the terms, provisions,
<br />and conditions cont,ained in such agreement, a copy of which is
<br />
<br />attached he'reto, incorporated by reference herein, and made a
<br />'... part hereof for all purpose~.
