ORDINANCE NO. 747 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE GRANT OFFER OF FEDERAL FUNDS BY THE <br />FEDERAL AVIATION AGENCY, AND ACCEPTING ALL THE TERMS, CONDITIONS, <br />AND OBLIGATIONS THEREIN CONTAINED; RATIFYING THE PROJECT APPLICA- <br />TION; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTE TO EXECUT~, SEAL AND DELIVER ANY AND ALL INSTRUMENTS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE ~UCH ACCEPTANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT: <br /> <br />Section 1. Th~t the Mayor and City Commission of the <br /> <br />City of La Porte, Texas, shall and they do hereby accept a Grant <br /> <br />.4It. Offer of Federal FUnds as made by the Director, Southwest Region, <br /> <br />Federal Aviation Agency, under date of April 26, 1966, for the <br /> <br />purposes therein set out; that said Mayor and City Commission <br /> <br />do hereby accept all the terms, conditions, and obligations <br /> <br />therein and thereby imposed and by our acceptance of same do <br /> <br />hereby rat~fy the Project Application and do hereby acknowledge <br /> <br />such instruments as constituting a solemn and binding agreement <br /> <br />with the United States Government, for the purposes of obtaining <br /> <br />Federal Aid in the development of the La Porte Municipal Airport, <br /> <br />and that a copy of such agreement is annexed hereto, incorporated <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />by reference herein, and ~ade part hereof as if set forth at <br /> <br />length herein. <br /> <br />Section 2.' That the Mayor of the City of La Porte, <br /> <br />Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to evidence the City's <br /> <br />agreement by affixing his signature to such agreement, which is <br /> <br />hereby executed in quintuplicate, and the City Clerk is hereby <br /> <br />authorized and direc~ed to impress the official seal of the <br /> <br />City of La Porte, Texas, thereon and to attest said execution. <br /> <br />Section 3. For the prese~vation of the pub~ic peace, <br />~- <br /> <br />health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist by <br />reason whereof this Ordinance shall be in full force from and <br /> <br />4It after its passage and approval, and it is so ordered. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by a majority vote of the City <br />
