<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-31 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 2, Division 4, Section 2.25, Subsection (a) <br />of Ordinance 1388, the City of La Porte Fire Code, addresses <br />offering a two hundred and fifty dolJar ($250.00) reward to any <br />person responsible for furnishing information leading to the <br />arrest and conviction of any person Builty of arson committed with <br />the city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, Mrs. Rose Espinoza, 317 San Jacinto, La Porte, <br />Texas, came forward with information regarding a house fire at 812 <br />South Virejnia, La Porte, Texas, that occurred on August 30, 1986; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of Mrs. Espino~~'s statement, two <br />juveniles were arrested and subsequently, on September 25, 1986, <br />were found guilty of arson, and are presently serving a sentence <br />of one year's probation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS <br /> <br />Section 1. That Mrs. Rose Espinoza has met the requirements <br />set out in Ordinance 1388 regarding rewards for information <br />leading to the arrest and conviction of any person guilty of <br />arson. <br />Section 2. That Mrs. Rose Espinoza is qualified to receive a <br />two hundred and fifty dollar ($250.00) reward for her efforts in <br />said arrest and conviction, and shall have a check forwarded to <br />her by the City of La Porte in the amount of two hundred,and fifty <br />dollars ($250.00), payable from the City of La Porte General Fund. <br />Section ~.
