<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 759-F <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 759, AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A <br />POLICY ON WATER AND SEWER LINE EXTENSIONS, ESTABLISHING CONNECTION <br />FEES AND INSPECTION FEES FOR PROPERTY HEREAFTER CONNECTED TO WATER <br />AND SEWER MAINS; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 759, as amended by <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 759-E, is hereby amended, and shall hereafter read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />nSection 2. A connection charge shall be made against each lot, <br /> <br />tract, or parcel of land and the owner thereof whose water and sewer <br /> <br />line shall be hereafter connected with any water main or sanitary <br /> <br />sewer main of the City of La Porte, which charge shall be at the <br /> <br />following rates; which rates are a portion of the total cost of such <br /> <br />water and sewer mains, to-wit: <br /> <br />(l} $4.60/l00 square feet for residential connections, and <br />$7.30/l00 square feet for commercial connections, of the lot, tract <br /> <br />or parcel of land to which water connections may be made, plus a <br /> <br />water tapping charge of:... <br /> <br />(2) $6.l0/l00 square feet for residential connections, and <br /> <br />$7.00/l00 square feet for commercial connections, of the lot, tract <br /> <br />or parcel of land to which sanitary sewer connections may be made; a <br /> <br />stack fee of $250.00 for a 4n sewer tap, and a stack fee of $300.00 <br /> <br />for a 6n sewer tap; and an inspection fee of $5.75. The charge for <br /> <br />larger sewer service connections shall be at the City's actual cost. <br /> <br />(7) Charges for residential lots in excess of one acre shall <br /> <br />be based on a minimum of 10,000 square feet for the water and sewer <br /> <br />front fees." <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />The City Council officially finds, determines, <br /> <br />recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, <br /> <br />hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was <br /> <br />posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the <br /> <br />City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as <br /> <br />required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised <br /> <br />Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the <br />
