<br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE HEREINAFTER
<br />DESCRIBEp PORTIONS OF CANQACE, LEONE, AND OLIVE STREETS, AND THE
<br />HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PORTIONS OF THE ALLEYS IN BLOCKS THIRTY-
<br />THREE (33), THIRTY-FOUR~(34), AND THIRTY-SEVEN (37), IN BEACH'
<br />PARK SUBDIVISION TO THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS,
<br />AND SAVINGS AND EXCEPTING A TEN-FOOT EASEMENT AS HEREINAFTER
<br />DESCRIBED, IN CONNECTION WITH AN EXISTING WATER LINE IN SAID
<br />LEONE AND OLIVE STREETS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte
<br />has been requeated by the record owner of all of the property
<br />abutting the here~nafter described portions of Leone, Olive, and
<br />

<br />Candace Streets, and the hereinafter described portions of
<br />
<br />the alleys in Blocks Thirty-three (33), Thirty-four (34), and

<br />Thirty-seven, Beach Park Subdivision, Harris County, Texas, to
<br />
<br />vacate, abandon, and permanently close the hereinafter described
<br />
<br />portions of said streets and said alleys~ and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte
<br />
<br />has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that
<br />
<br />the hereinafter described portions of said streets and said
<br />
<br />alleys are not suitable, 'needed, or beneficial to the public as
<br />
<br />public roads, streets, and alleys, and that the closing of the
<br />
<br />hereinafter described portions of the said streets and said
<br />

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
<br />OF THE CITY ,OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT:

<br />Section 1. Under and by virtue of the power, granted
<br />to the City of La Porte under its Home Rule Charter and Chapter
<br />l3, Title 28, Article l175, of the Revised Civil Statutes of the
<br />State of Texas, 19~5, and subject to the retention by the City
<br />
<br />of La Porte of the hereinafter described water line easement,
<br />
<br />the hereinafter described portions of LeOne, Olive, and Candace
<br />
<br />Streets, and the herein~fter described portions of the alleys
