<br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF
<br />BAYSHORE DRIVE, IN BAYSHORE PARK SUBDIVISION, HARRIS COUNTY"

<br />WHEREAS, ,the c'ity Commission of the City of La Porte
<br />
<br />has been requested by the record owner of all of the property
<br />abutti~g the hereinafter described portion of Bayshore Drive in
<br />Bayshore Park Subdivision, ,to vacat.e, .abandon, .and permanently
<br />close that portion of Bayshore Drive; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, .the said portion of Bayshore Drive requested
<br />
<br />to be closed is a dead-end street; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,. ,the remaini~g portion of Bayshore Drive is
<br />presently, ',and will in the future continue to furnish all
<br />needed access and thoroughfare for traffic of any nature;,"-and

<br />WHEREAS, .the City Commission of the City of La Porte
<br />
<br />has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that
<br />
<br />the hereinafter described portion of Bayshore Drive is not
<br />suitable, ,needed, .or beneficial to the public as a public road
<br />
<br />or street,' ,and that the closi!lg of the hereinafter described
<br />portion of Bayshore Drive is for the protection of the public
<br />
<br />and for the public benefit, ,and that such portion of Bayshore
<br />
<br />Drive should be vacated, .abandoned, ,and, permanently closed;
<br />
<br />NOW, ,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
<br />OF THE CITY ,OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT:
<br />
<br />Section 1. Under and by virtue of the power, granted
<br />
<br />to the City of La Porte under its Home Rule Charter and Chapter
<br />13, ,Title 28, Article. 1175, ,of the Revised Civil Statutes of
<br />the State of Texas, ,1925, ~ll of that portion of Bayshore Drive
<br />shown as a shaded area on Exhibit A, attached hereto, incorporated
<br />
<br />by reference herein, and made a part hereof for all purposes,
<br />
<br />and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows,
