<br />8-102 <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The location and boundaries of the districts herein established <br />are sho,m upon the Official Zoning Map, which is hereby incorp- <br />orated into this Ordinance. S,aid Zoning Map, together with all <br />notntiol1s, references, and other information shown thereon <br />and all amendments thereto, shall be as much a part of this <br />Ordinanc:e as if fully set forth and described herein. Said <br />Zoning Map, properly attested, is on file in the office of the <br />City Clurk. <br /> <br />ARTICLE NINE: DETERMINATION OF DISTRICT BOUNDARIES <br /> <br />SECTION 9-100 RULES FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF DISTRICT BOUNDARIES <br />Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of any of the <br />aforesaid districts as shown on the Zoning Map, the following rules shall <br />apply: <br /> <br />9-101 <br /> <br />9-102 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />9-103 <br /> <br />9-104 <br /> <br />9-lq? <br /> <br />9-106 <br /> <br />tit' <br /> <br />9-107 <br /> <br />Where di.strict boundaries are indicated as approximately follow- <br />ing the center lines of streets or highways, street lines or high- <br />way right-of-way lines, such center lines, street lines, or high- <br />way right-of-way lines shall be construed to be said boundaries. <br /> <br />Where district boundaries are so indicated that they approxi- <br />mately follow the lot lines, such lot lines shall be construed to <br />be said boundaries. <br /> <br />Where district boundaries are so indicated that they are approxi- <br />mately parallel to the center lines or street lines of streets, or <br />the center lines or right-of-way lines of highways, such district <br />boundaries shall be construed as being parallel thereto and at <br />such distance therefrom as indicated on the Zoning Map. If no <br />distance is given, such dimension shall be determined by the use <br />of the scale on said Zoning Map. <br /> <br />In unsubdivided property, the district boundary lines on the Zoning <br />Map shall be determined by use of the scale appearing on the map. <br /> <br />In the case of a district boundary line dividing a property into <br />two (2) parts the district boundary lines shall be construed to be <br />the property line nearest the district boundary line as shown. <br /> <br />Whenever any street, alley, or other public way is vacated by <br />official action of the City Commission, the zoning district ad- <br />joining each side of such street, alley, or public way shall be <br />automatically extended to the center of such vacation and all <br />area included in the vacation shall then and henceforth be sub- <br />ject to all regulations of the extended districts. <br /> <br />Where the streets or alleys on the ground differ from the streets <br />or alleys as shown on the Zoning Map, the streets or alleys on <br />the ground shall control. <br /> <br />ARTICLE TEN: GENEj~ PROVISIONS <br /> <br />SECTION 10-100 ZONING OF NEWLY ANNEXED LAND <br /> <br />10-101 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />10-102 <br /> <br />All territory annexed hereafter to the City of La Fbrte shall be <br />temporar:ny classified as "R-l" Single Family and Duplex Resi- <br />dential District, only Unti~...permanently zoned by the La Porte <br />City Commission. Immediately after the annexation of any ter- <br />ritory tC) the City of La Porte, the City Clerk shall commence any <br />action nE~cessary to the City Planning and Zoning Commission to <br />recommend a permanent zoning classification. The procedure for <br />making pE~rmanent such classification shall be the same as is pro- <br />vided by law for the adoption of the original zoning regulations. <br /> <br />In an arEla temporarily classified as "R-l" Single Family and Duplex <br />Residential District, a zoning permit may be issued for the con- <br /> <br />-10- <br />
