ORDINANCE NO. 780-A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 780, ,THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE" BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF SEVERAL PARCELS OF LAND; AND 'PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ,OF THE CITY ,OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT: Sectio'n' 1. The City Commission of the City of La Porte hereby finds, determines and declares that heretofore, ,to-wit, on the 11th day of March, 1968, ,at 7:00 o'clock P.M., ,a joint public hearing was held before the Planning and Zoning Commission, ,and the City Commission, of the City of La Porte, Texas, ,pursuant to . \ due not~ce, ,to consider the question of the possible re-classifi- cation of the Zoni~g classification of various and sundry parcels of land, all of which are more fully described hereafter. There is attached to this Ordinance as IIExhibit All, and incorporated by reference herein and made a part hereof for all purposes, ,a copy of IINotice of public~ Hearingll which the City Commission of the City of La Porte hereby finds was properly mailed to the owners of all properties located within two hundred (200) feet of the properties under consideration. Section 2. The Publishers Affidavit of publication of notice of said heari~g is attached hereto as IIExhibit B,II in- corporated by reference herein and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 3. Subsequent to such public heari~g, the City of La Porte Planning and Zoni~g Commission met in special session on April 1, 1968, .to consider the cha~ges in classifica- tion which were the subject of such joint public hearing. The City Commission of the City of La Porte is in receipt of the written recommendations of the City of La Porte Planni~g and Zoning Commission, by letter dated AprilS, 1968, the original of which letter is attached hereto as IIExhibit C, II, incorporated by reference herein, and made a part hereof for all purposes.
