RESOLUTION NO. f" ..3S" A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE ON THE ZONING ORDINANCE AND MAP, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: ACCEPTING SAID FINAL REPORT: SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE AND TIME ON THE COMPREHENSIVE REZONING OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE TO NOTIFY OWNERS OF PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LA PORTE OF SAID PUBLIC HEARING AS REQUIRED BY LAW: FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte has, on the 4th day of December, 1986, ~pproved a final report on the new zoning ordinance and zoning map, thereby recommending new zoning regulations and zoning district boundaries for the entire City of La Porte: and WHEREAS, said final report was transmitted to the City Council of the City of La Porte on December 5, 1986: and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has had an opportunity to receive and review said final report: and WHEREAS, upon review, the City Council of the City of the La Porte deems said final report worthy of acceptance: and WHEREAS, upon acceptance of said final report, the City Council of the City of La Porte is charged by State Law to set a public hearing upon said final report: and WHEREAS, State Law further requires that all owners of property within the City of La Porte be notified of the date, time, and place of said public hearing: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section L That the final report of the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte on the new zoning ordinance and zoning maps, recommending the comprehensive re-zoning of the city of La Porte be accepted and approved by the City Council of the City of La Porte.
