<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 780- E <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING THE DEFINITION OF "FRONT LOT <br />LINElI AS TO PROPERTY FRONTING ON BAYSHORE DRIVE; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, <br />TEXAS, THAT: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Commission of the City of <br />La Porte hereby finds, determines and declares that heretofore, <br /> <br />to-wit, on the 30tlrlay of March <br /> <br />, 1970, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., <br /> <br />a, Joint public hearing was held before the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission, and the City Commission of the City of <br /> <br />La Porte, Texas, pursuant to due notice, to consider the question <br />of the pOSSible change in the definition of lIfront lot line" <br />as contained in said Ordinance, as to property located on <br />Bayshore Drive facing Galveston Bay. <br />Section 2. The Publisher's Affidavit of pUblication <br />of notice of said hearing is attached hereto as "Exhibit A,II <br />incorporated by reference herein and made a part hereof for <br />all purposes. <br />Section 3. Subsequent to such public hearing, the <br />City of La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission met in special <br />session on March 30, 1970, the same date, after the close <br />. of such Joint public hearing, to consider the proposed change <br />which was the subject of such joint public hearing. The <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Commission of the City of La Porte is in receipt of the <br /> <br />written recommendations of the City of La Porte Planning and <br /> <br />Zoning Commission, by letter March 30 , 1970, the original <br />of which letter is attached hereto as Exhibit B," incorporated <br /> <br />by reference herein, and made a part hereof for all purposes. <br />Section 4. The City Commission of the City of <br />La Porte hereby accepts the recommendations of the City of <br />La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, and Section 7-154 of <br />the Zoning Ordinance of the City of La Porte, is hereby <br />amended to hereafter read as follows, to-wit: <br />
