AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CER- TAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC- TIVE DATE HEREOF. , BE.IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. The Planning and. Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte has recommended to the City Commission of the City of La Porte, that it grant a Special Use Permit for the hereinafter described parcel of land. Section 2., The. City Commission of the City of La Porte hereby accepts the recommendation of the City of La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, and the zoning classification of the hereinafter described parcel of land, situated within e.. the corporate limits of the City of La Porte, is hereby changed in accordance therewith, by granting a Special Use Permit for a blasting operation, to be conducted in accordance with Texas Air 'Cont~ol Board standards. Plans and specifi- cations for the proposed operation shall be approved by the Texas Air Control Board, and by the Harris County Pollution Control Office, prior to construction and operation. In addition, all requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency shall be complied with. The description of said parcel 'of land.is as follows, to..;..wit: -, 14.66 acres, more or less, out of Lot Thirty-two (32) of the Nebraska Syndicate Subdivision. 8.712 acres, more or less, out of the Enoch Brinson Survey, A-5. East 8.712 acres of 17.9 acre tract desc:r:ibed by Deed dated June 1'4, 1968, recorded in Volume 7236, Page 336, of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas, reference to which is here made for all purposes. Section 3. ~his Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its pass~ge and approval. ~.
