Zhe City Commission of the City of La Porte <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />hereby accepts the recommendation of the City of La Porte <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, and the zoning classification <br /> <br />of the hereinafter described parcel of land, situated within <br /> <br />the corporate limits of the City of La Porte, is hereby <br /> <br />changed in accordance therewith, and the zoning classification <br /> <br />of said parcel of land shall hereafter be "District C-- <br /> <br />Apartment and Commercial District," provided, however, that <br /> <br />no commercial use of said property shall be allowed, and said <br /> <br />property shall be used for apartments only. The description <br /> <br />of said parcel of land re-zoned is as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2.88l8 acre tract, Tidewood Subdivision, 420 feet <br />North of McCabe Road facing Highway l46, Wm. P. <br />Harris Survey A-30, Harris County, Texas. <br /> <br />Section 5. This Ordinance shall be subject to the issuance <br /> <br />of a building permit for the construction of apartments. If <br /> <br />such permit has not been issued within two (2) years of th~ <br /> <br />date hereof, the zoning classification of the hereinabove <br /> <br />described parcel of land shall automatically be "District R-l <br /> <br />--Single Family Dwelling and Duplex Residential District." <br />Section 6.
