The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />accepts the recommendation of the City of La Porte Planning and <br /> <br />Zoning Commission, and the zoning classification of the herein- <br /> <br />after described parcel of land, situated within the corporate <br /> <br />limits of the City of La Porte, is hereby changed in accordance <br />therewi th, and the zoning classification of said parcel of land <br /> <br />shall hereafter be "Industrial," and with a special use permi t, <br /> <br />~ with use strictly limited to allow a container storage yard <br /> <br />and truck terminal. <br /> <br />The description of said parcel of land <br /> <br />re-zoned is as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />10-acre tract of land bounded by State <br />Highw~v ~25 and State Highway 146 on the <br />North and East, and bounded by Strang Road <br />on the West, and bounded by the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad tracks on the South. <br /> <br />Section 5. It shall be a, condition of this Special Use <br /> <br />Permi t that, at all times while the above-described property is <br /> <br />used as a container storage yard and truck terminal, the five <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />feet (5') of said property adjacent to the r,ights-of-way of <br />Highways 146 and 225 be densely planted and continuously maintained <br /> <br />as a "green belt" visual screen, using pine trees and shrubbery. <br /> <br />Failure to keep and maintain such ~green belt" shall cause this <br /> <br />Special Use Permit to be subject to revocation by Ci ty Council. <br />Section 6. All ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed, <br /> <br />to the extent of conflict only. <br /> <br />Section 7.
