WHEREAS, the terms ofthis Joint Resolution shall constitute the agreement between the County and the City respecting the procedures for transfer pursuant to the Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND CONCURRENTLY ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE THAT: Section 1. The Commissioners Court hereby adopts this Resolution to transfer the duties of the City o(La Porte relating to the maintenance of birth and death records to the County Clerk of Harris County. Section 2. The City Council, the governing body, ofthe City hereby adopts this Resolution to transfer the duties of the City of La Porte relating to the maintenance of birth and death records to the County Clerk of Harris County. Section 3. The Commissioners Court and the City agree to adopt this Resolution as their concurring Resolution. Section 4. The Commissioners Court and the City Council by adoption of their concurrent Resolution and Ordinance, hereby transfer effective 12:01 a.m., January 1, 1999, the duties of the City of La Porte relating to the maintenance of birth and death records to the County Clerk of Harris County. Section 5.
