ORDINANCE NO. 792 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PORTIONS OF PARK AVENUE AND LEONE AVENUE, IN BEACH PARK SUBDIVISION OF THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte has been requested by the record o~ner of all of the property abutting the hereinafter described portions of Park Avenue and Leone Avenue, to vacate, abandon, and permanently close those portions of the said Avenues; and WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portions of Park Avenue and Leone Avenue have never been opened or used as a public road or street; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that the hereinafter described portions. of Park Avenue and Leone Avenue are not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as public roads or street~, and that the closi~g of the hereinafter described portions of Park Avenue and Leone Avenue are for the protection of the pUblic and for the public benefit, and that such portions of : Park Avenue and Leone Avenue should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT: Section'l. Under and by virtue of the power granted to the City of La Porte under its Home Rule Charter and Chapter 13, Title 28, Article 1175, of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, 1925, all of the hereinafter described portions of Park Avenue and Leone Avenue, in Beach Park Subdivision, in the City of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, as more particularly described by metes and bounds, and as more particularly shown on a plat of the portions of said streets ordered closed, which plat is attached hereto as Exhibit A, incorporated by reference herein, and made a part hereof for all purposes, are hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the City of La Porte;
