That said election was duly called and notice thereof. given in '..accordance with law; that notice of said election was, given by publication thereof, in the La Porte- Bayshore Sun, official newspaper of the City of La Porte, a newspaper of, general circulation published in said City, .on the same day in each of two successive weeks, to-wit; June 26, 1969, 'and July 3, 1969; that not less than thirty (30) days prior to the date of election, the City Clerk of the City of La Porte mailed a copy of the proposed amendments to each qualified voter in the City of La Porte as appears from the latest rolls of the Tax Collector; that said election was held in the manner required by law; that due returns of said elec- tion have been made by the proper officers; that said returns have been canvassed by the City Commission of the City of La Porte; that a total of ninety-e~ght (98) persons voted at said election, ,includi~g persons voti~g on the r~gular voti~g machines, and on the absentee voti~g machine; that said election has resulted in the adoption of each and all of the said eleven (11) proposed amendments to the Home Rule Charter of the City of La Porte. ,Sectio'n 5,. The City Commission of the City, of La Porte hereby finds, ,det,ermines, ,and declares that Amendments One (1) thro~gh Eleven (11), ,bot~ inclusive" ,contained in Ordinance No. 82l of the Ci ~ Y 0 f La Porte" pas sed and approved June 2, 1969, ,have each and, all been approved at the election of A~gust 23, 196,9, ,and the same are hereby adopted as part of the Home Rule Charter of the City of La Porte. Section 6. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its pass~ge and approval, and it is so ordered.
