Box 1115~ 604 West Fairmont <br />La Porte, Texas 77571 <br /> <br />uear Mr. Giliett: <br /> <br />Re: Proposal for Inspection of Water Storage Facilities <br /> <br />Per our dlScus510ns~ we are pleased to forward this proposal for the <br />inspectlon serVlces in connection with the evaluation of the elevated <br />and ground storage facil ities of the City of La Porte~ Texas. <br /> <br />We wlll make an lnspection of the interior and exterior of the elevated <br />and ground water storage facilites enumerated below within the City. We <br />wlii during the course of the inspection, evaluate the existing <br />coatlngS~ inspect the structural members for structural integrity, check <br />metal for pitting~ inspect welds visually to determine whether repairs <br />are required and make recommendations for x-rays where necessary. <br />~hotographs will be taken to portray the present condition of the water <br />storage facilities. A written report will be submitted on each storage <br />facility, being an update of the report submitted two years ago on the <br />elevated and ground storage structures. <br /> <br />We wlll in our report of inspection provide the recommendations as to <br />the work reouired to bring the tanks into compliance with the Texas <br />State Department of Water Resources and the United States Occuoational <br />5atety and Health Act (OSHAi. <br /> <br />Within this proposal, we will provide any necessary recommendations as <br />to the type finishes that may be applied for the best servlce, any <br />estimated costs and potential life factors. <br /> <br />In the course of our inspectionr we are planning to check the followlng <br />elevated storage facilities: <br />a' 4(J0~(l00- 111 South 4th Street <br />b. 500,000- 3550 Farrington, in Fairmont Park <br />c. 200~OOO- Humphreyville off Bayside Drive <br />~. 750.000- Lomax <br />We are also planning to inspect the following ground storage facilities: <br />a. 125 ~OOO- 4(14 West Fairmont <br />b. 420~OOO- 105 North Broadway <br />c. 350~OOO- 8610 Bandridge <br /> <br />-1- <br />
