<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 1635, Page 2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the issuance and sale of the Bonds by the District on <br /> <br />the proposed terms and conditions is satisfactory and in the best <br /> <br />interest of the City and the City Council desires to consent to the <br /> <br />issuance and sale of the Bonds; therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of La Porte <br /> <br />hereby consents to the issuance and sale by La Porte Area Water <br /> <br />Authority of up to $4,800,000 of its Water Supply Contract Revenue <br /> <br />Bonds, Series II 1988, substantially in accordance with the terms <br /> <br />and conditions set forth in the proposed "Resolution Authorizing <br /> <br />the Issuance and Sale of $4,800,000 Water Supply Contract Revenue <br /> <br />Bonds, Series II 1988, and Authorizing an Agreement with the Paying <br /> <br />Agent/Registrar" attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and hereby made a <br /> <br />part of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the City Council officially finds, deter- <br /> <br />mines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the <br /> <br />date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council <br /> <br />was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of <br /> <br />the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as <br /> <br />required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised <br /> <br />Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to <br /> <br />the public as required by law at all times during which this or- <br />dinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, con- <br /> <br />sidered and formally acted upon. <br /> <br />The City Council further rati- <br />
