<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. l659-C <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. l659-B, AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A <br />PERMIT UNDER CHAPTER 16, nOIL AND GAS WELLS,n OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, AND APPROVING THE <br />APPLICATION OF ARKLA EXPLORATION COMPANY TO DRILL A 12,000 FOOT <br />WELL~ FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW~ AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte <br /> <br />heretofore, on December 10, 1990, passed and approved Ordinance No. <br /> <br />l659-B, granting a permit under Chapter 16 nOil And Gas Wells,n of <br />the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, and approving the <br /> <br />application of Arkla Exploration Company to drill a 12,000 foot <br /> <br />well. The City of La Porte has now received an application from <br />Arkla Exploration Company, dated February 19, 1991, requesting <br /> <br />certain revisions to its permit. The amended application of Arkla <br /> <br />Exploration Company has been reviewed by appropriate City officials, <br /> <br />who have found that said application, as amended, meets all <br /> <br />requirements of Chapter 16 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of <br /> <br />La Porte, and have recommended its approval. A true and correct <br /> <br />copy of said amended application is attached hereto as Exhibit nAn, <br /> <br />incorporated by reference herein, and made a part hereof for all <br /> <br />purposes. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />approves the application of Arkla Exploration Company, dated <br />February 19, 1991, and this Ordinance shall constitute a permit to <br />Arkla Exploration Company to conduct such drilling operations within <br /> <br />the City of La Porte as specified in said applieation, as amended <br />February 19, 1991, all in conformance with the requirements of said <br />Chapter 16 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte. This <br />Ordinance, and the application attached hereto, shall constitute <br />the permit to Arkla Exploration Company. By reference, there is <br />incorporated herein all the provisions of Chapter 16 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of La Porte, with the same force and effect <br />as if said Chapter were copied verbatim in this permit. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />The term of this permit shall be for a period of <br /> <br />180 days from the date hereof, and as long thereafter as the <br />permitee is engaged in drilling operations with no cessations of <br />
