<br />e <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />ADMISSION OF WASTES INTO PUBLIC SEWERS <br /> <br />(A) PERMIT REQUIRED - Review and acceptance of the Approving Authority <br />shall be obtained prior to the discharge into the public sewers of <br />any wast~s or sewage bY business or industry. <br /> <br />1. DRY INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION PERMIT - If upon review by the <br />Approving Authority, an applicant is determined to be a dry <br />industry as that term is defined by this ordinance, a Dry <br />Industry Classification Permit shall be issued. Said permit <br />shall be renewable every three (3) years upon a showing by <br />the permittee that no changes in the permittee's operations <br />have taken place, or will take place during the term of the <br />renewed permit. <br /> <br />2. WET INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION PERMIT - If upon review by the <br />Approving Authority, an applicant is determined to be a wet <br />industry as that term is defined by this ordinance, a Wet <br />Industry Classification Permit shall be issued only after the <br />applicant is in compliance with Section 2, Section 1, and <br />Section! of this ordinance. An applicant for a Wet Industry <br />Classification Permit, or any renewal thereof shall pay a fee <br />of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each application for said <br />permits thereof. A Wet Industry Classification Permit shall <br />be renewed on an annual basis. The permit is valid for one <br />(1) year from the date of issue so long as the Permittee is <br />in compliance with conditional requirements as stipulated <br />within the permit. The Permittee must submit his renewal <br />application to City Hall (Code Enforcement Department) ten <br />(10) days prior to 'expiration of his current pel~it. The <br />application will not be accepted unless the fee is paid and <br />submission of information is complete. <br /> <br />(B) PRETREATMENT - Where required, in the opinion of the Approving <br />Authority, to modify or eliminate wastes that are harmful to the <br />structures, process, or operation of the sewage disposal works, or <br />to comply with pretreatment standards and discharge limitations as <br />specified in Section 1 of this ordinance, the person shall <br />provide, at his expense, such preliminary treatment or processing <br />facilities as may be determined necessary to render his wastes <br />acceptable for admission to the public sewer. <br /> <br />(C) PRE-APPLICATION CONFERENCE - Prior to filing an Industrial Sewer <br />Connection Application, the Applicant shall consult with the <br />Approving Authority, or his duly authorized representative, <br />concerning the types, concentration, and volumes of industrial <br />wastes proposed for discharge and shall complete the Industrial <br />Waste Questionnaire. Conditional approval as to the general <br />requirements must be obtained from the Approving Authority prior <br />to preparation of the Industrial Sewer Connection Application. <br /> <br />(D) APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS - The Industrial Sewer Connection <br />Application shall contain, as a minimum, the following <br />information: <br /> <br />1. A map of the property showing accurately all sewers and <br />drains. <br /> <br />2. A complete schedule of all process waters and raw industrial <br />waste produced or expected to be produced before pretreatment <br />(if any) at said property, including a description of the <br />character of each waste, the daily volume and maximum rate of <br />discharge and representative analysis of the raw waste. <br /> <br />3. Plans and specifications covering all pretreatment facilities <br />for waste treatment proposed to be performed on the waste <br />under this permit with a full description - including <br />laboratory analysis - of the character of the waste to be <br />discharged to the public sewer, daily volume and maximum rate <br />of discharges to the public sewer. <br /> <br />4. Plans and specifications of the grease, oil, and sand <br />interceptors and control location. <br /> <br />() <br />
