<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ordinance No. <br /> <br />829 <br /> <br />, Page 2. <br /> <br />(2) The per-unit water consumption will determine <br />the applicable charge for each occupied unit <br />based upon the schedule provided in <br />Sub-section (a); <br /> <br />(3) The applicable water service charge for each <br />occupied unit will be multiplied by the number <br />of "occupied units" in the project served by <br />the meter to determine the monthly water <br />service charge for the entire project. <br /> <br />In the case of multiple-family units, the owner or his <br /> <br />designated representative shall certify in writing to the City <br /> <br />Administrator, not later than the 15th day of each month, the <br /> <br />number of "occupied units" on the 10th day of the month, for <br /> <br />purposes of computing the monthly garbage, water,and sewer <br /> <br />charges owing to the City. In the event such certificate is <br /> <br />not in the hands of the City Administrator by the end of the <br /> <br />15th day of each month, the charge shall be based on the maximum <br /> <br />number of units that could be occupied. If the 15th day of the <br /> <br />month is a Saturday, Sunday, or other day when the City Hall is <br /> <br />closed for business, the certification may be filed on the <br /> <br />next business day. <br /> <br />Section 3. When payable; penalty for late payment. <br /> <br /> <br />Water meters shall be read monthly, and each consumer <br /> <br />shall be billed monthly. All water bills shall be payable in <br /> <br />full at their net amount based upon the rates and schedules <br /> <br />provided in this Ordinance, on or before ten (10) days after <br /> <br />the date of the mailing of the bill to the consumer. If any <br /> <br />bill is not paid in full within such period, there shall be <br />added thereto ten per cent (10%) of the amount thereof (which <br /> <br />shall be the total amount of the charges for water, sewer, <br /> <br />and garbage service) as a penalty for late payment. There <br /> <br />shall be stamped on each consumer's bill, the last date on <br /> <br />which the same may be paid without becoming subject to such <br /> <br />penalty or there shall be stamped thereupon the date of its <br />mailing, together with a statement to the effect that the <br /> <br />bill must be paid within ten (lOJ days from the date or become <br />
