e e ORDINANCE NO. l694-A Page 3 Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective upon the performance of the following conditions precedent, by the applicant, to-wit: 1. The payment by applicant to the City of La Porte, as and for the fair market value of the street and alley rights- of-way to be closed, of the cash sum of $230,062.50, in certified funds. 2. The purchase by applicant of all of the property abutting the portions of the street and alley rights-of-way described herein, except for such portions of said property owned by the Port of Houston Authority, for which property the written consent of the Port of Houston Authority shall be required. Section 3. When the conditions set forth in Section 2 have been performed, the City Secretary of the City of La Porte is authorized to issue a certified copy of this ordinance to applicant, for recording in the Harris County Clerk's office. Section 4. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated~ and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. Section 5.
