<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. l7l5-A <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR <br />THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1990, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, <br />1991, BY ADDING A CERTAIN POLICE PERSONNEL POSITION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended to City Council <br />that one position classified as Police Patrol Officer be added~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this recommended change would assist the orderly, <br /> <br />efficient operation of the Police Department by replacing the two <br /> <br />officers who were assigned to the Harris County Organized Crime and <br /> <br />Narcotics Task Force under a Federal Grant~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this position is funded through salary reimbursements <br /> <br />from the Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force, and <br /> <br />should this Unit not be funded in future years, these positions <br /> <br />would be abolished. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> <br />OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1.
