<br />e e <br /> <br />9. Conduct two progress meetings with the owner. <br /> <br />10. Upon final approval by the City. furnish Owner with <br />five copies of final contract documents, and final detailed <br />construction cost estimate. Furnish Owner 10 copies of final <br />contract documents and detailed construction drawings for bidding <br />process. Additional copies for bidding purposes will be <br />furnished at reproduction cost. <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION PHASE <br /> <br />Upon completion of the' Design Phase and upon written <br />approval of the City, the Engineer shall proceed with the <br />Construction Phase. Work to be performed under the Construction <br />Phase shall include the following: <br /> <br />1. Assist the City in Pre-qualifications of Contractors. <br /> <br />2. Assist the City in advertising for bids for the Project <br />and notifying prospective Contractors of the scope of the <br />Project. <br /> <br />3. Conduct pre-bid conferences. <br /> <br />4. Assist the City in receiving, opening and analyzing <br />bids. <br /> <br />5. Make recommendation to the City for award of the <br />contract to the lowest qualified Contractor. <br /> <br />6. Notify Contractor of award of bid and prepare Contract <br />Documents with approval of City Attorney. <br /> <br />7. Conduct Pre-Construction conferences. <br /> <br />8. Re-establish alignment and bench marks for horizontal <br />and vertical control for use by the Contractor. Furnish City and <br />Contractor with information. <br /> <br />9. Perform contract administration during construction. <br /> <br />10. Provide mylars of record drawings to City of La Porte, <br />upon completion of construction. Information to be obtained from <br />Contractors record prints. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 19 <br />
