<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of La <br />Porte, City Hall, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas beginning at 7:00 pm on Monday, <br />February 14, 2005, at which public hearing interested persons shall be entitled to speak and <br />present evidence for or against the designation of La Porte Reinvestment Zone "A", pursuant to <br />Chapter 312, Texas Tax Code, as amended. The legal description of the property to comprise the <br />proposed reinvestment zone is as follows; to-wit: <br /> <br />Being a tract or parcel ofland containing 12.156 acres ofland or 529.516 <br />square feet, located in the Enoch Brinson Survey, Abstract 5, Harris County, <br />Texas, being out of and a part of that certain called 206.990 acre tract of record <br />in the name of St. Joe Paper Company in Harris County Clerk's File (H.C.C.F.) <br />Number M032856; Said 12.156 acre tract being more particularly described as <br />follows (all bearings based on the southerly Right-of-Way line of the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad bearing South 70 Degrees 15 minutes 00 seconds East per said <br />deed): <br /> <br />Beginning at a Dupont concrete monument found for the northeast comer of <br />aforesaid 206.990 acre tract, and for the southeast corner of a called 28.2125 <br />acre tract of record in the name of Houston Associates-California General <br />Partnership in H.C.C.F. Number N082828, said corner being on the southeasterly <br />right-of-way line of aforesaid Railroad (100 feet wide); <br /> <br />Thence, coincident aforesaid southeasterly right-of-way line, South 70 Degrees <br />15 minutes 00 Seconds East a distance of 1338.65 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod with <br />"RENO" cap set for the east corner of the herein described tract; <br /> <br />Thence, through and across aforesaid 206.990 acre tract the following two (2) courses: <br /> <br />1. South 89 Degrees 39 Minutes 06 Seconds West, a distance of 1778.12 <br />feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod with "RENO" cap set for the southwest comer <br />of the herein described tract; <br /> <br />2. North 00 Degrees 20 Minutes 54 Seconds West, a distance of 462.76 feet <br />to a 5/8 inch iron rod with "RENO" cap set for the northwest corner of the herein <br />described tract, on the south line of aforesaid 28.2125 acre tract; <br /> <br />Thence, coincident the south line of a aforesaid 28.2125 acre tract, North 89 <br />Degrees 57 Minutes 18 Seconds East, a distance of 521.00 feet to the POINT OF <br />BEGINNING and containing 12.156 acres of land. <br /> <br />A location map of said property is available for inspection in the City Secretary's Office. <br /> <br />MARTHA A.
