<br />e <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005-2803 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 "EMERGENCY SERVICES", ARTICLE <br />III "EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE BY ADDING NEW SECTIONS 30-79 THROUGH 30-93 AND <br />BY AMENDING APPENDIX B "FINES" FOR THE PURPOSE OF REGULATING THE <br />OPERATION OF PRIVATELY OWNED AMBULANCES ON THE PUBLIC STREETS <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE <br />TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR <br />AND SHALL UPON CONVICTION BE FINED A SUM OF NOT MORE THAN FIVE <br />HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) FOR EACH VIOLATION; REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />781; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING A <br />SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. New Sections 30-79 through 30-93 are hereby added to Chapter 30 <br /> <br />Emergency Services of the Code of Ordinances, City of La Porte; said new Sections 30- <br /> <br />79 through 30-93, shall hereafter read as indicated on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and <br /> <br />incorporated for all purposes by reference herein. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Appendix B Fines is hereby amended by adding a fine description and a fine <br /> <br />amount to read as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />Amount <br /> <br />Section <br />this Code <br /> <br />Chapter 30. Unless another penalty is expressly provided, every person convicted of a <br /> <br />violation of any provision of the Code or any ordinance, rule or regulation adopted or <br /> <br />issued in pursuance thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500.00. Each <br /> <br />act of violation and each day upon which any such violation shall occur shall constitute <br />
