The Firm of <br />CDM was selected, and subsequently designed the improvements funded by the recent bond issue. Phase II of the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements included the examination and possible improvements to the aeration <br />process of the Plant. Funds remaining from the bond issue were set aside, in the amount of$100,000, in the FY 03- <br />04 General Obligation Bond Fund (Fund 43) to perform the Study. The firm ofPBS&J, Inc. was selected to perform <br />the Study for Phase II Improvements at the Plant at a cost of$58,090.00. <br /> <br />The Study recommended the replacement of existing aeration equipment (funded under a separate Project) and begin <br />the design ofa new treatment aeration train to increase the capacity of the plant to 5.5 MGD (see attached Executive <br />Summary from Study). PBS&J has provided a proposal and Agreement to perform a Preliminary Engineering <br />Report (PER) that will establish the final scope of work for final design, examine various aeration alternatives and <br />recommend most cost-effective, and provide a detailed cost estimate for consideration ofa future bond issue.
