Mayor Alton Porter and City Council <br />City of La Porte <br /> <br />Re: Rezone Request #R05-005 <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Porter: <br /> <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, during its September 15, 2005, meeting, <br />held a public hearing to consider Rezone Request #R05-005. The subject property, P&O <br />Cold Logistics, is located at 502 North Broadway, one block south of Barbour's Cut <br />Blvd. It is further described as Lots 1-16 of Blocks 415, 420 & 433, Lots 1-32 of Blocks <br />434 & 435, portions of East Madison, East Tyler, and North Kansas Streets within the <br />subject property, being a part of 24.888 acres of land out of Johnson Hunter Survey, <br />Abstract 35, La Porte, Harris County, Texas. The applicant seeks to have 11.48 acres of <br />land rezoned from Medium Density Residential (R-2) and Business Industrial (BI) to <br />Planned Unit Development (PUD). <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission, by a unanimous (6-0) vote, has recommended <br />approval of Rezone Request #R05-005.
