<br /> <br />e <br /> <br />City of La Porte <br />Established 1892 <br /> <br />September 30, 2005 <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor Alton Porter and City Council <br />City of La Porte <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Porter: <br /> <br />During a regular meeting on September 15, 2005, the La Porte Planning and Zoning <br />Commission held a public hearing to receive citizen input regarding, the creation of a <br />large lot district and consider additional regulations for this district, adapt the boundaries <br />ofa large lot district, and rezone from Low-Density Residential (R-l) & Medium Density <br />Residential (R-2) to Large Lot District (LL). <br /> <br />After a careful consideration, the Planning and Zoning Commission, by a vote of 5-1, <br />recommended approval for creation of large Ipt district (minimum lot size I-acre) and <br />additional 'regulations. The opposing vote was in favor of creating the district with a <br />minimum ~ acre lot.
