This tank was constructed in 1991, and has never been <br />recoated. The paint system has performed well, and the Engineer recommends recoating before <br />the paint system begins to fail. <br /> <br />Dunham Engineering has designed the proposed improvements, and sealed bids were received <br />on January 12,2004 from six (6) contractors. Low bid was submitted by Utility Service <br />Company, Inc. in the amount of$34,900. A total of $60,000 was budgeted for this Project. <br /> <br />As illustrated by the attached bid tabulation, the bids ranged from a high of $1 05,990 to the low <br />bid. Low bidder was checked by the Engineer for past work experience, safety experience and <br />references. Utility Service Company, Inc. has successfully completed projects for the Engineer, <br />and is recommended by the Engineer for bid award. <br /> <br />It is recommended that the contract be awarded to Utility Service Company, Inc. in the amount <br />of $34,900.
