Mayor Alton Porter and City Council <br />City of La Porte <br /> <br />Re: Rezone Request #R04-007 <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Porter and City Council; <br /> <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, during its July 15,2004, meeting, held a <br />public hearing to consider Rezone Request #R04-007. The Methodist Retirement <br />Communities c/o Aldersgate Trust, on behalf of the Happy Harbor Methodist Home <br />located at 1106 Bayshore Drive, seeks to rezone approximately 7.0S acres of land <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />"Lots 1 thru S of Bellaire Block, lots 1 thru 22 of Bayview Block, lots 1 thru 6 & Res. B <br />Bay Front Block & Res. A Bayshore Block, and lots 1 thru 4 less N 5 ft. Bayshore Block, <br />Bay Shore Park Subdivision, Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas". <br /> <br />The applicant seeks to have a property rezoned from Low Density Residential (R-1) and <br />Medium Density Residential (R-2) to High Density Residential (R-3).
