<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ordinance #96-2079-C <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />(1) The minimum sum of $50,000.00 for injury or death of one person, or $100,000,00 <br />for injury or death to more than one person from anyone accident; and <br />(2) The minimum sum of $1 00,000.00 for property damage for anyone accident. <br /> <br />The holder is responsible for ensuring the city is provided with a certificate of insurance <br />that identifies the city as the "certificate holder". Certificate shall include a statement that a <br />written notice of cancellation, of not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such policy <br />cancellation, shall be provided to the city. No moving (site placement) permit shall be issued <br />unless such insurance is in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Sec. 82-36. General and building contractors; liability insurance requirements. <br /> <br />This section was previously known as Sect. 82-35 is hereby re-numbered and amended as <br />follows: <br /> <br />a) No permit shall be issued for any general or building contracting work, as such work <br />is defined with the building codes, adopted in Sect. 82-31, until the contractor or his employer <br />shall have arranged to carry the following insurance. <br /> <br />(1) Workers' compensation insurance on each and every one of his employees as <br />required and in accordance with the provisions of the state Workers' <br />Compensation Act. <br />(2) Public liability insurance to the extent of $50,000,00 for anyone accident, and <br />$100,000.00 for anyone person; and <br />(3) Property damage insurance to the extent of $10,000,00 for anyone accident, and <br />$100,000.00 in the aggregate, <br /> <br />b) Such insurance shall be written by an accredited company under the supervision of the <br />board of insurance commissioners of the State of Texas. <br /> <br />c) The contractor is responsible for ensuring the city is provided with a certificate of <br />insurance that identifies the city as the "certificate holder". Certificate shall include a statement <br />that a written notice of cancellation, of not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such policy <br />cancellation, shall be provided to the city, No permit shall be issued unless such insurance is in <br />full force and effect. <br /> <br />Original Sections 82-36 through 82-65 is hereby re-numbered and amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sections 82-37 --- 82-65, Reserved. <br /> <br />8 <br />
