• <br />'rFXAS <br />September 19, 2003 <br />0 <br />'pity of La Porte <br />Established 1892 <br />Honorable Mayor Norman Malone and City Council <br />City of La Porte <br />Dear Mayor Malone: <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on Special <br />Conditional Use Permit #SCU 03-002 on August 27, 2003. The applicants, Arete Real <br />Estate & Development Co. and Hettig Management Corp., seek approval of proposed La <br />Porte Golf Community to be located between State Highway 146 and the Bay Forest Golf <br />Course, immediately south of the Baypoint Townhomes. <br />During the September 18, 2003 meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />unanimously voted to recommend that City Council consider approval of General Plan <br />and Special Conditional Use Permit #SCU 03-002, with the following conditions: <br />Confirm the single-family, multi -family, and neighborhood commercial land uses as <br />shown on the General Plan. <br />2. Recommends the extension of 8`h Street into the proposed subdivision. <br />3. Recommends all outstanding conditions listed in SCUP are resolved when a <br />development agreement is established.
