Fifteen <br />applications were submitted for consideration. Staff recommended each City Councilperson <br />have one representative on the Council. Applicants not selected to serve on the initial panel shall <br />be considered for a board position. <br /> <br />The goals and objectives ofthe Council are proposed to develop an alliance among youth, youth <br />agencies, city government, schools, and the community to secure for all children and youth the <br />highest advantage in physical, mental, social, and moral development, and to advise on how to <br />solve the problems encountered in providing services to the youth of the community. <br />Furthermore, the Council will work towards unifying the youth of La Porte into a positive force <br />for the good of the community.
