In consideration, the City agreed to close a various <br />street and alleys adjacent to PPG property, the last portion of which was approved by City <br />Council at its last meeting. <br /> <br />Street and alley closings for PPG Industries total 112,730 sq. ft., or 2.588 acres. Total ROW <br />donated by PPG Industries for Bay Area Blvd. is 267,987 sq. ft., or 6.152 acres. Total utility and <br />drainage easement donated by PPG Industries is 410,478 sq. ft., or 9.423 acres. <br /> <br />The Agreement also includes the provision that the City will erect a four-strand barbed-wire <br />fence on the east and west sides of the proposed Bay Area Blvd, as well as north and south sides <br />of the proposed drainage easement. <br /> <br />Upon acquisition of all ROWand easements, the city will transfer ownership to Harris County, <br />which will then begin construction of improvements, the first of which is pipeline adjustments. <br />Concurrent with this effort, the city will advertise and award bids for construction of the trunk <br />sewer to be installed adjacent to Bay Area Blvd. <br /> <br />Action Reauired bv Council: Approve an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute the <br />Agreement, Special Warranty Deed, Sanitary Sewer and Water Line Easement and Drainage Easement <br />between the City of La Porte and PPG Industries, Inc. for the construction of Bay Area Blvd. and Trunk <br />Sewer. <br /> <br />Approved for City Council Ae:enda <br /> <br /> <br />Dei!t~!icJ!!- yJJv <br /> <br />~ -( 7 -tJ 5 <br /> <br />.Date <br />
