<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Section 1-222. Reports and Resolutions to be Filed with the City Secretary. <br />All reports and resolutions shall be filed with the City Secretary and entered on <br />the minutes. <br /> <br />Section 1-223. Adjournment. A motion to adjourn shall always be in order and <br />decided without debate. <br /> <br />Section 1-224. Executive Sessions. Every regular, special or called meeting <br />or session of City Council shall be open to the public. No closed or executive meeting <br />or session of City Council for any of the purposes for which closed or executive <br />meetings or sessions are authorized by the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Texas <br />Government Code, shall be held unless City Council has first been convened in open <br />meeting or session for which lawful notice has been given and during which meeting or <br />session the Presiding Officer has publicly announced that a closed or executive meeting <br />or session will be held and identified the section or sections of said Act authorizing the <br />holding of such closed or executive session. No final action, decision, or vote with <br />regard to any matter considered in the closed meeting shall be made except in a <br />meeting which is open to the public and in compliance with the notice provisions of the <br />Act. <br /> <br />Section 1-225. Open Meetings Law Notice. The City Council officially finds, <br />determines, recites, and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place <br />and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the <br />public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as <br />required by the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code; and that <br />this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which <br />this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and <br />formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such <br />written notice and the contents and posting thereof. <br /> <br />Section 1-226. Repeal. Ordinance No. 1435 and Ordinance No. 1435-A are <br />repealed as of the effective date hereof. <br /> <br />Section 1-227. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be effective from and after <br />its passage and approval. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED, this 23rd day of July, 2003. <br /> <br /> <br />OF LA PORTE <br /> <br />7 <br />
