<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-20 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, <br />NAMING THE JENNY RILEY COMMUNITY CENTER ANNEX IN HONOR OF CHARLES <br />E. WALKER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Charles E. Walker has been a civic leader for many <br />years; and <br />WHEREAS, Charles E. Walker has contributed his time and <br />talents to the betterment of his community; and <br />WHEREAS, Charles E. Walker has been an ardent supporter of the <br />City of La Porte and has been a pillar in the Black community; and <br />WHEREAS, Charles E. Walker has been a positive role model to <br />all youth; and <br />WHEREAS, an addition to the Jenny Riley Community Center has <br />recently been completed; and <br />WHEREAS, Charles E. Walk~r's contributions to his community <br />deserve recognition from the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the addition to the Jenny Riley Community <br />Center shall be named in honor of Charles E. Walker, and shall <br />henceforth be called the CHARLES E. WALKER ANNEX. <br />Section 2.
