<br />ResolutioD('/ <br />2007- 0 3 <br />**** <br /> <br />Be it known as follows: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of La Porte has applied for or wishes to apply to the Office of the <br />Attorney General, Crime Victim Services Division for the Victim Coordinator and <br />Liaison Grant (VCLG); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has considered and supports the Application filed or to <br />be filed with the Office of the Attorney General; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of La Porte agrees that the entity will not use the existence of an <br />Office of the Attorney General grant award to offset or decrease total salaries, expenses, <br />and allowances that the applicant receives from the governing body at or after the time <br />the grant is awarded; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of La Porte agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of the Office <br />of the Attorney General funds, The City of La Porte assures that the funds will be <br />returned to the Office of the Attorney General in full; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of La Porte designates John Joerns, Interim City Manager as the <br />grantee's Authorized Official. The Authorized Official is given the power to apply for, <br />accept, reject, alter or terminate the Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant as well as <br />given the authority to sign all grant adjustment requests, inventory reports, progress <br />reports, and financial reports or any other documents related to the grant on behalf of the <br />grantee; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that The City of La Porte approves <br />submission of the application for the Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant to the Office <br />of the Attorney General, Crime Victim Services Division as well as the designation of the <br />Authorize ffi. <br /> <br /> <br />~ ~ <br />~~ <br />City Secretary <br />
