AUTHORIZATIONS <br /> (a) Consider approval or other action authorizing the City Manager to execute a Local <br /> Government Code Chapter 380 Agreement between the City of La Porte and Oakland Land <br /> and Development Company for Sector 23 economic development program —T. Leach <br /> Assistant City Manager Traci Leach presented a summary. <br /> Jeff Burkhalter and Bill Campbell, with Oakland Land and Development Company, and Public <br /> Works Director Don Pennell provided additional information. <br /> Councilmember Earp made a motion to authorize the City Manager to execute a Local Government <br /> Code Chapter 380 Agreement between the City of La Porte and Oakland Land and Development <br /> Company for Sector 23 economic development program. COUNCIL COMMENTS regarding matters appearing on the agenda; recognition of community <br /> members, city employees, and upcoming events; inquiry of staff regarding specific factual <br /> information. <br /> Councilmember J. Martin recognized the Garcia Family and commented he is looking forward to the <br /> upcoming Shrimp Boil: <br /> Councilmember K. Martin recognized the Garcia Family and commented how the death of Jesse <br /> Garcia is a great loss to the community; <br /> Councilmember Kaminski recognized the Garcia Family; <br /> Councilmember Zemanek recognized the Garcia Family and commented he is proud to call Jesse <br /> Garcia a friend, and that he will be sorely missed.
