Box 1533 - Shady Oaks support from the Mayor and Council to <br />assist Homeowners with Bayport Issues & addressed buyouts as remedies. <br /> <br />9. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance authorizing the sale of <br />$8.075 million in Certificates ofObligation Series 2007. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: ORDINANCE 2989 - AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS CERTIFICATES OF <br />OBLIGATION, SERIES 2007; AND CONTAINING OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT <br />THERETO. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Howard Ebow to approve Ordinance 2989 as <br />presented bv Mr. Askins. Second by Councilmember Chuck Engelken.
