MOTION PASSED <br /> UNANIMOUSLY 910. <br /> Prior to council action, Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read the caption of Ordinance 2017-3676: AN <br /> ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OF A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO SERVE AS MAYOR <br /> PRO-TEM OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 1, 2017, THROUGH MAY 31, 2018, OR <br /> UNTIL A SUCCESOR HAS BEEN APPOINTED AND HAS QUALIFIED; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br /> MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> (b) Discussion and possible action regarding ONE Solution program transition under contract <br /> with SunGard Public Sector, Inc. — M. Dolby <br /> This item was taken up and discussed after Council Comments, Item 11. <br /> Senior Systems Administrator Ruston Royall presented an update and advised Council that 21 of <br /> the 22 modules will go live on June 5, 2017. <br /> There was no action taken. <br /> 9. REPORTS <br /> (a) Receive report of the La Porte Development Corporation Board Meeting — Councilmember <br /> Engelken <br /> Councilmember Engelken provided a report of the meeting held prior to the City Council meeting. <br /> 10. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br /> City Manager Alexander thanked everyone that contributed and participated in the success of the <br /> 125th Anniversary Celebration and advised Council he will reach out to Mr. Hinton regarding his <br /> concerns with flooding in his neighborhood. <br /> 11. COUNCIL COMMENTS regarding matters appearing on the agenda; recognition of community <br /> members, city employees, and upcoming events; inquiry of staff regarding specific factual <br /> information. <br /> Councilmember Engelken congratulated Ruston Royall as Employee of the First Quarter; <br /> Councilmember Ojeda as a new Councilmember; Councilmembers Earp and Kaminski for being <br /> re-elected into office and reminded the Mayor of the addendum that was added to the agenda. <br /> Councilmember Earp congratulated Ruston Royall as Employee of the First Quarter; <br /> Councilmember Ojeda as a new Councilmember; Councilmember K. Martin as Mayor Pro-Tem and <br /> thanked everyone that volunteered and attended the 125th Anniversary Celebration. <br /> Councilmember Ojeda commented the 125th Anniversary Celebration was phenomenal and <br /> thanked her family and friends for attending the City Council Meeting. <br /> Councilmember J. Martin congratulated Ruston Royall as Employee of the First Quarter; <br /> Councilmember K. Martin as Mayor Pro-Tem; Councilmember Ojeda as a new Councilmember; <br /> thanked everyone that volunteered and attended the 125th Anniversary Celebration and requested <br /> an update on the Gilley's project at the next meeting. <br /> Councilmember K.
