Adcox <br /> Councilmember J. Martin made a motion to approve Consent Agenda Items pursuant to staff <br /> recommendations. Councilmember Leonard seconded the motion. MOTION PASSED <br /> UNANIMOUSLY 9/0. <br /> Prior to council action, Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read the caption of Ordinance 2017-3677: AN <br /> ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE PORTION OF THE NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK <br /> 122, TOWN OF LA PORTE AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A DEED TO THE ADJOINING <br /> LANDOWNER; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> HEREOF. <br /> Ordinance 2017-3678: AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE PORTION OF THE 11TH <br /> STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED BETWEEN BLOCKS 121 AND 122 TOWN OF LA PORTE AND AUTHORIZING <br /> THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A DEED TO THE ADJOINING LANDOWNER; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH <br /> THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> 6. Pennell <br /> Public Works Director Don Pennell presented a summary. <br /> Councilmember Earp made a motion to deny the request to subcontract commercial solid waste <br /> pickup services to LT's Garbage Service. Councilmember Zemanek seconded the motion. <br /> MOTION PASSED 5/4. <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Earp, Engelken, Zemanek, Kaminski and K. <br /> Martin <br /> Nays: Mayor Rigby, Councilmembers Leonard, Ojeda and J.
