<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85-19 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO THE STATE PURCHASING AND GENERAL SERVICES <br />COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of La Porte, Texas, pursuant to the <br />authority granted by Article 664-7, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, <br />as amended, desires to participate in certain below described <br />purchasing programs of the State Purchasing and General Services <br />Commission, and <br />WHEREAS, the said City Council is of the opinion that <br />participation in these programs will be highly beneficial to the <br />taxpayers of this City, through the anticipated savings to be <br />realized; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of La <br />Porte, Texas, does hereby request the State Purchasing and General <br />Services Commission to include its stated need for Contract Class <br />No. 863, vehicle tires, on the Commission's annual contracts for <br />those items, whereby the City of La Porte may be allowed to <br />purchase those items from the annual contract in question; and <br />that Jack Owen, City Manager, is hereby authorized and directed to <br />sign and deliver all necessary requests and other documents in <br />connection therewith for and on behalf of the City of La Porte. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this the 28th day of October, 1985. <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br /> <br />By4~4ot~~ <br /> <br />Norman Malone, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />City Secretary <br />
