The ordinance authorized the City Manager to execute a contract starting on January 1, 2006 <br />and ending on September 30, 2007. <br /> <br />The approved contract was then submitted to the PHA for Commissioner approval and was denied on the basis that <br />the PHA does not approve multi-year contracts with annual update provisions. <br /> <br />The revised contract reflects a contractual term starting on January I, 2006 and ending on September 30, 2006. This <br />revision will allow the City of La Porte to make annual update provisions as needed based on Average Daily <br />Populations. <br /> <br />-; <br /> <br />The current 2004-05 contract expires on December 31, 2005. <br /> <br />2004-05 Contract was based on a POHlBCT population of 1,640 employees - Total annually $28,000.00 <br />2006 Contract is based on a POHlBCT population of 1,535 employees - Total annually $26,095.00 <br /> <br />The Port of Houston Authority will vote in January 2006 to approve this revised contract. <br /> <br />Recommend that council void the contract approved on November 14,2005 and approve the City Manager to <br />execute the newly revised contract for submittal to PHA. <br /> <br />Action Required bv Council: <br />Void denied contract approved by Council on November 14,2005 and approve an Ordinance <br />authorizing the City Manager to execute a revised contract with the Port of Houston Authority for <br />the City of La Porte EMS Division. <br /> <br />A <br /> <br /> <br />J-cj-D0 <br /> <br />Date <br /> <br />I <br />
