<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-2 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, <br />AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT REQUEST TO THE GOVERNOR'S <br />CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION FOR FUNDING TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE, <br />TEXAS, FOR A PROGRAM KNOWN AS INFORMATION SYSTEMS/COMPUTER AIDED <br />DISPATCH. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF La Porte, Texas, has <br />the moral obligation to the citizens and taxpayers of the County <br />of La Porte, Texas, to ensure that the criminal justice system <br />operates in the most efficient and coordinated way possible; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council is aware that there are limited special <br />services available to or provided to the victims of all crimes; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council feels that the addition of the program <br />known as Information Systems/Computer Aided Dispatch will <br />materially enhance the administration of justice in the City of <br />La Porte, Texas, for all crime victims; and <br />WHEREAS, the opportunity exists to fund vital parts of this <br />program through the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas, <br />Criminal Justice Division; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City <br />of La Porte, Texas, that the city submit a grant request to the <br />Office of the Governor of Texas, Criminal Justice Division, to <br />assist in the funding of the program of Information Systems/ <br />Computer Aided Dispatch. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED, this <br /> <br />)I.t:i- day of ~ <br />CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXA <br /> <br />{t~<;1~~.e/- <br />No-man L.
