THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HARRIS CITY OF LA PORTE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING In accordance with the provisions of Section 106-171 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, and the provisions of the Texas Local Government Code, notice is hereby given that the La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 P.M. on the 14th day of December, 2006, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas. The purpose of this hearing is to consider Rezone Request #R06-004, for 19.6505 acres of land more or less, located in the Richard Pearsal Survey, Abstract No. 625 and further described as all or portions of Lots 56, 57, 58, 63, 64, and 65, La Porte Outlots, City of La Porte, Harris County, Texas. Mr. Ken Schick, on behalf of Lawrence B. Chapman, Trustee, is seeking a rezone from Large Lot District (LL) and High Density Residential (R-3) to General Commercial (GC) for commerciallretail development. A regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission will follow the public hearing for the purpose of acting upon the public hearing items and to conduct other matters pertaining to the Commission. Citizens wishing to address the Commission pro or con during the Public Hearing will be required to sign in before the meeting is convened.
