The United States Department of Homeland Security recognized the necessity for <br />providing security and protective equipment to the Police Departments that would have the responsibility to respond <br />to a "Critical Infrastructure" such as chemical plants. <br /> <br />The Buffer Zone Protection Plan grant is for the purchase of equipment that has been approved by the Department of <br />Homeland Security for the amount of$42,976.94. <br /> <br />Action Required bv Council: <br /> <br />Authorize the City Manager to sign all documents relating to the acceptance and use of the grant <br />funds from the Governor's Division of Emergency Management. <br /> <br />Approved for City Council Ag:enda <br /> <br /> <br />~~:::/~~;#1~ <br /> <br />h --(j; - () to <br /> <br />Date <br />
