<br />5. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />A. Consider approving Minutes of the Special called Regular Meeting of the La Porte <br />City Council held on December 17, 2007. <br /> <br />B. Council to consider approval or other action of an Ordinance vacating, abandoning <br />and closing the portion of the alley in Block 723, Town of La Porte situated <br />between Lots 11 through 20 and 21 through 30. (Ord. 3058) <br /> <br />C. Council to consider approval or other action of an Ordinance authorizing the City <br />Manager to execute the Second Amendment to Lease Agreement between the <br />City of La Porte and Harris County for the Sylvan Beach Fishing Pier, increasing <br />the Escrow Fund for pier repair and replacement from a base amount of <br />$150,000.00 to $550,000.00. (Ord. 3059) <br /> <br />D. Council to consider approval or other action authorizing the City Manager to <br />execute a contract with LJA Engineering and Surveying, Inc. for the survey and <br />design of the Water Service rerouting in the Spenwick area. <br /> <br />E. Council to consider approval or other action of an Ordinance amending Fiscal <br />Year 2007-08 Budget. (Ord. 3024-0) <br /> <br />F. Council to consider approval or other action authorizing the City Manager to <br />execute an Agreement with Claunch and Miller, Inc. to provide professional <br />engineering services for replacement of Lift Station NO.6 and rehabilitation of Lift <br />Station No. 38 in the amount of $78,710.00. <br /> <br />G. Council to consider approval or other action authorizing the City Manager to <br />execute an Agreement with Van De Wiele Engineering, Inc .to provide <br />professional engineering services for the final design of the relocation of utilities <br />along Sens Road. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Enqelken to approve consent aqenda as presented. <br />Second by Council member Mosteit. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mayor Porter, Rigby, Mosteit, Moser, Clausen, Engelken, Ebow, and <br />Malone. <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: Beasley <br /> <br />6. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND TAX <br />PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL ON ANY ITEM POSTED ON THE <br />AGENDA. <br /> <br />Matthew Novosad - 5214 Cove Creek had comments about the recent pay increase for <br />the City of La Porte employees. Mr. Novosad thanked the Mayor and Council for the <br />recent pay raise. <br />
